I prefer Nexxus or Paul Mitchell myself but most any good Salon will carry products that are far better quality and longer lasting than anything you buy over the counter at Walmart or Amazon. Plus, buying from a local salon is helping your community by supporting local small businesses. Rule 1. Do not brush it. Comb it. Rule 2. Condition it. Rule 3. Shampoo your scalp, not your hair. Apply shampoo to the scalp, rub a bit and rinse through the ends. Rule 4. Squeeze hair dry lifting the hair in your towel and squeezing the water out. Do not rub your head with your towel as this will make your hair frizz. Last but not least, a great curl activator makes it last longer, kills the frizz and makes beautiful neat curls. If you prefer to blow dry, use a diffuser and do the same crunch and squeeze to the hair as you dry it. Lifting the hair as you do will create a richer, deeper, longer lasting curl.
